Alpenloge is the story of Anja and Michael, who share their eternal dream of being aware of the good life, its impact on health, and passion for an environment that offers the comfort of living at a pace that we create ourselves.
They left city life and their jobs and dedicated themselves to a new project, which carries in its heart the message of a "slowdown" life, which they discovered themselves through their travels and want to offer it to others as well. For a weekend break, for a one-week break from the city, or for a longer detox & deep relaxation and enjoying the summer in the countryside and on the shores of Lake Constance next to the artistically and culturally inspired Bregenz.
"A boutique break in the countryside that inspires with its culinary story and head chef Mark Beastall, who has exchanged Michelin awarded restaurant in Great Britain to create a unique culinary story in the countryside with Anja and Michael." SLOWDOWN HOTELS

Slowdown value: Quiet place surrounded by meadows
Just 20 minutes from Lake Constance/Bodensee by Bregenz, the road winds its way up through rural meadows, and right next to the Austrian-German border lies the town of Scheffau. In an idyllic hamlet with typical German rural architecture, where the facades of the houses are covered with shingles and the windows are decorated with colored shutters. Right next to the church is a boutique new house built according to the traditional method and invites you to the world of "slowdown" - Alpenloge.

Slowdown value: It's all set up to calm you down
The well-thought-out interior design is the "slowdown effect" of Alpenloge. Through interior design, you will feel the idea of Anja, who transferred her passion for creating a "slowdown" environment through interior design.
Colors, motifs, and patterns intertwine in such a way that you will feel their cosmopolitan story, which they weaved through their travels, where they looked for inspiration, how to transfer the good feelings of the places they enjoyed to their home environment and create a unique stay.
"The house is designed as a home where you feel comfortable. Colors have a beneficial effect on your well-being and relax the space." SLOWDOWN HOTELS

Slowdown value: A reminder of how to enjoy morning
Breakfast is beautifully served on the table in chic tableware that adds up to the experience of a slow morning and having time to eat slowly. Here breakfast is not an early morning meal, but is an experience of how to take the morning slowly. All things will wait for you, but here they will learn you how to take time for breakfast and eat with joy and gratefulness.
Traditional recipes are paired with openness and curiosity for flavors from all over the world. Butter, cheese, and spicy bacon from the Alps. Bread from bakeries with traditional baking skills. Homemade jam with local fruit. Plus delicious egg dishes. A la carte. Accompanied by food compositions with an Oriental, Asian, or Mediterranean touch.
Coffee from the portafilter machine. Or with soft brew pots. In order to give nostalgia its stage here as well. All in all: a manifesto of good and healthy cuisine with organic products.

"Lovingly arranged. On shelves. With products from home. Celebrated with passion for you. From our service.

Slowdown value: Slowdown with an Artful culinary journey
Alpenloge culinary journey begins with a sketch of the dishes even before they are made. Head chef Mark Beastall loves art and beautiful things and in his unique way, he brings his inspirations to the plate. He learned the interweaving of flavors and ingredients in Michelin restaurants in Great Britain, and now he is creating a new story in the countryside.
His dishes are a feast for the eyes and the soul, as his creative mind thinks about the visual appearance of the food much in advance. He loves art and beautiful things so he gets inspired by everyday things and carefully sketches his dishes before they are made. We got a sneak peek at his "Mile-en-Doodle" journal, where he plans and puts down his recipes for gourmet dishes.
