Food, more than anything, reflects local culture, and Amelie wishes to pass on the true meaning of authentic retreat in the Alps. In the 70's, this place was a "must go" for the Swiss. It was the emblem for the delicious food. Here, the "wirsthuse" dishes are made with modern techniques and artful skills that elevate the taste and the textures of the dish. Like a fine sliced roasted potato - such a treat! A comforting soup, homemade pies that melt in your mouth... simply the food we love to eat in the mountains, and it feels incredible.

Living and cooking at 1,432 meters of altitude, they can not and do not want to do it without the amenities of the valley and their own gardening.

Their love for traditional arts and design is felt all over the hotel. One of our favorite vibes is created around the breakfast as it is served in unique Bunzlau pottery. These beautiful pieces form a part of their crockery collection. So their homemade breakfast dishes taste even more special and the visual effect of the cute pottery definitely brings the "slowdown effect" to the table.

As one of the last houses in the village tries to imagine this silence when cars are not passing by, you can't hear a noise from the street, only birds singing and a gentle breeze.

At 1423m one can imagine that winters can be cold and full of snow, therefore at Heimspitze, you will not find a big wellness area, but rather a quiet and very private style of cozy & warm place with a Finnish and Steam bath sauna to enjoy a bit of relaxation after all the activities or when the weather cancel your plans to explore the natural wonders around Montafon.
